Design Narrative:

This project was a New Single Family Residence located in the Boulder Foothills.

As a Wildfire Rebuild, the goal of this home was to be smaller (than previous), open floor plan, and maximizing the spaces for entertaining.  In total, this home has 4 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, 2 Half Baths (one for outdoor use), Office, and all the best in Kitchen and Laundry amenities.

The Main Level is divided into a few parts; the 4-Car garage, the Primary Suite, the Great Room and Butlers, and the North bedroom wing.  Under the North bedroom wing is the Lower Level, comprised of a Guest Suite and Activity Space.  The North wing also can be "closed off" should there be no guests/children.

The backside of the home has a clear view of the Flatirons, and as it's on a hill wind and solar were a design consideration.  Pitched roofs help with the wind,  transom windows providing natural light, and a steel pergola which will eventually hold shade sails.  The courtyard space for the new pool (not shown) has multiple functions; entertaining area, dining area; and bbq grilling area.

The house was designed following a specific HERS rating, and comes equipped with gypcrete-radiant floors, HRV ventilation system, Central Air Conditioning, Radon, and Solar PV for offsetting.  All of the systems (including pool equipment) are conveniently located in the massive crawl space.
